NEEDLING

Do you have a friend who is constantly needling you, and not in a quilty way? Meet Kim! Kim is my blog buddy, whom I have never had the pleasure of meeting. She makes me laugh at the insane comments that she makes, both on her blog and mine. But that is not enough for her, nooooo, she has to thread her way into my life through e-mails, accosting me even further. I made the mistake of suggesting to her on one occasion (or maybe several) that my age is becoming an inhibiting factor. Once in a while I forget things. Not like Darlene, mind you, who forgets she has scissors clamped in her teeth. Well, I once went to a quilt class and totally forgot to take my sewing machine, but luckily I discovered that I had taken the class before, so I just enjoyed the social aspect of it. (True story).

But enough about me, let's get back to Kim. I said to Kim that I have so many project ideas floating around in my head, and not enough time for follow through. Kim says, "The problem is that it takes a lot more time to make a quilt than it does to think up the ideas! Of course, age may take care of that eventually! LOL!" No matter how you read that it sounds like she is sticking it to me. Believe me she has made many other comments to me as well, but of course they slip my mind at the moment. Actually, that point illustrates one of my really good characteristics: I never hold a grudge for long.

Seriously folks, I gotta get some of that Memory Foam I keep hearing about!

I with you on the memory thing Marcie!!! Ugh! I am constantly forgetting things. I love your blog and can't wait to visit your pattern website. That "Happy Place" quilt is so cute. Hope you have a pattern for that. PS- keep me posted on the memory foam:-)!

When you find that memory foam let me know - I need some! But I still laugh about Darlene and the scissors!

Kim's a pot-stirrer, that's for sure, but we love her just the same! I've had the good fortune of meeting her several times. She's a great friend.

Boy, you are so right. I really need that memory foam. I went so far as to ask the Dr. if I was starting on Alchimers (sp). He started to ask me a lot of questions and said you have "hm can't remember the word he used" suggestive. only not remembering the things I don't want to do etc.

I'm told everyone has this but Gee, going to a class and forgeting your machine. That means you really didn't want to take that class. Well not again.

Kim is a very good friend

Hubby and I were discussing this just this weekend. I can remember with total clarity the time I had mumps at age 7 and the fact that Mom tilted the tray and spilled the milk into my chicken noodle soup...but I can't remember when I get off the sofa to get something from the sewing room and come back 15 minutes later having stopped 3 places to do something and get back to the den without WHAT I meant to go get, then forget what I wanted in the first place!!

Kim who? And who's the clown? LOL! Boy, was that taken a looooong time ago. My make-up's still pretty much the same, but I use a putty knife to apply it now. Oh! So there's my next day of beauty post! You get a preview! ROFLOL!

Oh...the Memory Foam? It works great! But don't eat it. No, no. Just "apply liberally where needed"...like *those places* that have forgotten where they used to be. ;-) A little *expansion* never hurt any- body...or thing! ;-)

Sounds like Kim keeps you on your toes. Everyone needs a friend like that!

Happy Saturday!
