$100,000 QUILT

I received this link from a friend who has a friend that has a quilt that is competing for big bucks! I thought it was worth passing along. Take a look and maybe you will want to vote for your favorite quilt. Apparently someone will win $100,000. Sadly, I don't have a quilt in this competition, but someone will appreciate your vote!
This one is Casablanca, by Claudia Myers and quilted by Marilyn Badger.

That's a beautiful quilt, and it could be the winner. Just getting to this point is a win, I think!

Wooo hoooo - a member of OUR quilt guild has a quilt in this competition! That's as close to fame as I'll ever get! LOL What a GREAT bunch of quilts. Such talents!

Maybe it's just me, but it does bother me a little that someone could actually win $100,000 for a quilt that they didn't even quilt.
It's sad that the actual art of quilting is getting lost along the way.

It is a pretty quilt. Can't wait to see the winner.

I know those two women!!! Claudia is from MN...and Marilyn is a longarm instructor. They have show quilts traveling the country every year. Incredible talent!

Thanks for the link!

Hi Marcie, love the little tree toppers you've dreamed up...LOL, you are quite incredible you know! A bit 'touched in the head' but incredible *VBS*
And yes, as of today, Blogger is doing the 'picture' trick to me also...must be some new policy or something *VBS* Hugs, Finn

Hey Darcie, howsit goin'??

Just to put Pat's mind at ease, Marilyn and I are a team (and good friends)---I design and piece and she quilts. Anything we ever win gets split right down the middle, because we both know that ALL parts of the quilting process are important.

Thanks all, for going and looking at the quilts, they ARE all incredible, aren't they? It's just nice to be included. And thanks, especially, to Marcie for putting us in her blog.
