I just came from Melanie's blog and was wowed by her beautiful fall quilts. I have two for this time of year that I really like. One is called "Leaves in the Air", combining the scrappy leaves and the Birds in the Air blocks. I love scrappy, and it was great fun to see how many different colors and fabrics found a happy spot in this quilt. In my mind, the little diagonally set triangles feel like leaves fluttering to the ground.
The other is "Plaid Harvest", for "harvesting" fall colored plaids from my stash. I have yet to find a really good way to hang quilts for photos..I gotta find me some trees, like Melanie!

Beautiful fall quilts. The more quilts I see with pieced the more I want to try a pieced border. I guess I'm just going to have do it.

Those are wonderful quilts, I especially like the stars as I love plaids.
WOW! Some of this stuff I am currently cutting would look wonderful in somethign like this. Fortunately I am only cutting off about 13 inch square though so still have some left.

Love these fall quilts. The combination of the Birds in the Air and Leaf blocks is really creative - I've never seen something like that. May I have your permission to save that picture in my "inspiration" files for future design ideas?

I love both these quilts and I especially love the top quilts border!! Because fo the way the color lays out you don't realize that they are just hourglass blocks but instead look like little boats or something!! The leaves are dancing very well in your second quilt! Great combination of blocks!

These are very pretty. I like the border on the star quilt and the leaf quilt is unique too. I like that in a quilt!
