A GAGGLE PERHAPS?

I am back, tho not so much "in action" as I would like. Once again I finished up my trip with a flu bug. Fortunately it didn't hit me until after the wedding. Unfortunately I was in Arizona at my son's house and never left the house the whole week I was there. Now I am home trying to generate some enthusiasm for
anything! I seem to be very fond of my bed, but even that has grown old.
All that aside, and even in my weakened condition, I was able to complete a plethora of Flying Geese for two different quilts I am working on. I took scraps with me and just sort of sat slumped at the sewing machine making one after another without having to use any of my groggy brain. Are you feeling sorry for me yet? I didn't think so.

When I became weakened to the point of not being able to sew any longer, I went into the yard and lay prone before the
Arizona Sun God, praying for deliverance. Then back into the house for a Diet Coke and that was as good as it got. Seriously, I am not that sick, just tired and have that old nagging cough that lasts forever.

Today is my last day of taking it easy. I am catching up on my blog and then will catch up on my TV shows that are recorded on my DVD. Tomorrow I WILL get moving!
Let me share this final wedding shot with any interested parties. Becky and Travis ride bikes all over, and so his parents arranged to have a bicycle built for two at the wedding reception all decorated! Becky's dad found this darling clip-art that he reproduced on water bottles and candy covers. After the reception the bride and groom rode off on the bike while everyone waved and blew bubbles! It was very cute!

OK...you can have some sympathy from me....I hear your sighs of woe! You have indeed been ill for sometime now. I'm guessing you have every right to whine a bit. I said a bit...let's not go overboard! LOL
It is a first...hadn't ever heard of a couple riding off on a bike built for two...what a fantastic idea.
I'll be back to see what becomes of your flying geese.
In the meantime, go slow, take it easy and do not overdo!!

Oh you poor thing Marcie, I hope you get your energy back soon. I'm amazed you still had sewing on your mind but the flying geese look great. Love the bike!

That has to be the most adorable thing ever for leaving a wedding reception! I love it and to put it on candy wrappers and water bottles is the absolute most creative thing! I'm storing ideas bz I still have two kids who one day will get married! I'm sorry you were sick though. I hope the Arizone Sun God took the old bug away and killed it. That heat has to kill something, right? Get well soon!

Oops, make that "Arizona" not "Arizone." It's getting late and my brain has gone to bed. Cindy

Those flying geese have such warm colors to them! They look wonderful and cozy. Oh, how awful to be sick, especially while visiting family! I can't imagine how you must have felt. If your blogging it means you are definitely on the mend though. :0) Just take it easy and be sure to still rest! You don't want to over do it to much! A bicycle built for two! How sweet fun and unique!!

A gaggle for sure! Nice and scrappy.
Hope you get back into your groove quickly now that you are home. I have been feeling lots of aches & pains myself but not from a cold. But I can understand why you don't feel like being too active.

I'm the third Karen in a row to comment. But I'll bet I'm older than those other Karens, I was at the beginning of the Karen Popularity :-). Oh wait, this isn't about me. How did he think of the bicycle built for two...I'll bet the photos of them riding that will be among their favorites in the years to come. Get well, Marcie!!

I'm glad you're feeling better! Your flying geese look great! I love flying geese and I am eager to see the projects you are making them for. I can't help think of the song "Daisy Daisy give me your answer true... but you'll look sweet, upon the seat of a bicycle built for 2." :0)

It's nice to be home and on the mend. I think that Arizona Sun God was good to you, he certainly gave you some great looking flying geese. I can't wait to see the completed projects that they are for. I love things made with scraps. Using your last bit of energy at the time should make you feel better because they are well worth your work. Way to go.
