IT IS BEAUTI-FALL!

Today, camera in hand, I went on a little field trip. I wanted to find a place to photograph my Leaves in the Air quilt enhanced by some fall colors. I headed down First Colonial Road to an outdoor produce market called Stoney's. Everything looked so awesome there! Look at these neat pumpkins with warts!

I really was just looking for a place to snap a shot of my quilt so it would look appealing. This place was perfect! They had goofly little gourds, and Indian Corn, and pumpkins and squash in all shapes and sizes. They also had homemade peach jam that I had to buy. Not being the domestic goddess I once was, I no longer make homemade jam.

Look at all the cool pumpkins! Doesn't my quilt look happy there? I was able to find this spot with nails perfectly aligned so that I could hang my quilt. I brought the rod that I hang it on, and I was so glad that I did. Honestly, I wonder how many patterns I could sell with that display? I haven't made lots of cute fall quilts like so many of you have. In fact, I have only made this one, and I am excited to be able to display it for a while this time of year. Actually, I would kind of like to frame this photo! This is what I call beauti-fall!

This looks too well planned! You were "just looking for a place to snap a shot". I couldn't have done that with a week's notice. Great job. This pic will sell patterns, for sure! Lovely quilt.

Marcie,
What a beautiful quilt! I am constantly amazed by your creativity/productivity. I have no trouble starting projects but I so rarely finish them. And how nice of the produce market to let you create your display with their wares! That was really nice!

Gorgeous pictures and gorgeous quilt. It's a perfect setting. I can see why you would want to frame the bottom picture...it looks like something out of a magazine or even a greeting card.

I'm not a halloweenie/fall person when it comes to decorating.....I think it has something to do with the color "orange".....

I'm having a little trouble believing that is your only fall quilt. You've have lots of quilts with browns and reds. I love your pictures, did you have help hanging the quilt? I want to go to your farmers market!

Your quilt looks wonderful in this picture on our wagon at Stoney's and hanging also I enjoyed watching you tend it tenderly for a picture the day you did this, though I didn;t say anything and just let you enjoy your moment of pleasure. I'm Carolyn from Stoneys who does all the yard display there for summer and fall. After you left that day I thought I should have offered to clear off the display on the black cast iron round table and have you drape it there with one lovely fairytale polished pumpkin in the center. Come back anytime to take pictures of your B- U- T- FALL quilts or a summer one as well. Happy quilting to you.
