My trees this time are actually one piece too, not string pieced - just becuase I liked the fabric I found in my stash. It is just such a versatile pattern and I have so enjoyed seeing different versions each time - sometime I think we get stock on how the original picture is and follow it and this is a great exercise to try different ways.
